Mike and Tawni Sandy
FCC is honored to support Mike and Tawni Sandy. Mike grew up in Napa and attended church here at First Christian. After high school, he moved down south to attend SDSU. While he was attending SDSU, God began to change the direction of his life. He became very involved in a local church and became involved in short-term mission trips. God brought Tawni into his life, who shares his passion for missions. They were married in 2012.
Mike and Tawni discovered they were going to have a baby when they were getting ready to leave. That baby arrived shortly after they landed in Thailand. Peter Joseph Sandy arrived in the summer of 2013 and was instantly a real addition to the Sandy team. You can imagine how this tiny little boy opened up many opportunities to talk to other young moms as Tawni went shopping and on walks. And now, sweet little Peter has three sisters and a brother!
The Sandys left Southern California in the spring of 2013 with these words as their motto, “World Changers to the Nations.” Since first moving to Thailand, they have been studying the language and making disciples in their home while also serving at local church plants and Christian schools. They continue to raise their family in faith that God will always provide and are excited about what comes next in Udon Thani.
