What to Expect at an in-person service
Where do I go?
We have reserved parking just for you! Look for the Guest Parking in the East Parking Lot—the lot closest to Highway 29. It’s worth noting that there is a pretty big dip coming in from 1st Street. You may want to pull in slowly and at an angle.
Enter the Worship Center Lobby from the parking lot. A guest ambassador will greet you at the door and answer any questions you may have.
What should I expect?
As you enter the church lobby, you’ll be greeted by one of our guest ambassadors. They can be identified by their FCC nametag and can answer any questions you may have. FCC celebrates communion every Sunday. A guest ambassador will give communion to you as you come in the door. Communion is packaged in a disposable cup, with the juice and wafer in separate compartments. Take one for each person in your group and hold on to it until we share communion in the service.
FCC is a family for families. Whether your family is spread out or all under one roof. For families with young children, we have created a fun and safe small group environment for infants through high school. You can register your kids for the morning at the family ministry table in the middle of the lobby. We’ll get your contact info and give each of your kiddos a name tag.
Before heading into the worship center, help yourself to a cup of coffee or other hot beverage and bring it on into church. We are proud to serve local fresh brew from the Napa Valley Roasting Company.
In the worship center, you’ll find a variety of seating options including tables in the back and rows of chairs in the front. We have found that the tables work well for families with children and anyone using a wheelchair or walker. You are welcome to sit wherever you’d like. If you need help finding a seat, just ask a guest ambassador.
The service starts at 10 am with a few songs led by the FCC Worship Team. For the first 20 minutes of the service, your entire family will stay together, and then the kids will be dismissed to their small groups. We love having kids in church as the service begins. Their enthusiasm brings so much joy and energy.
As noted earlier, communion is a central part of our Sunday gathering. During this time, we reflect on our relationship with Jesus and the sacrifice he made for us. We all share communion together as a model of the importance of our faith.
After communion, family ministry directors Jan and Doug will give a quick message before dismissing kids to their groups. You’re welcome to help your kids get settled, or stay put and let their small group leaders guide them. FCC Kids and Students environments have been thoughtfully designed to allow for connections with friends and Jesus in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. Rest assured, all small group leaders have been background-checked to ensure the safety of your children.
Back in the worship center, Pastor Allen will share a message that speaks directly to the issues of life and applies biblical truths that provide help, hope, and healing. His casual yet thought-provoking style incorporates wisdom, insight, and humor.
The service concludes around 11 am with a song and a blessing. As you leave, be sure to stop and say hello to Pastor Allen in the lobby. We’ve got a small welcome gift for you as well. You can then walk over to the kids and students center to pick up your children. If you’re not sure where to go, just ask any guest ambassador.
We want you to know we are here for you.
Whether you are exploring, spiritually curious, or you have a dynamic faith life, it’s our hope to add value to your life journey. If you have any questions about visiting FCC Napa, we’d love to hear from you.
